Fall is in the air and we are ready to have some fun with our farm community! This Saturday the 23rd we are throwing a party to celebrate the beginning of our 2010-2011 growing season! It’s our annual Planter’s Ball and you are all invited. We will make a fresh organic farm salad, Rollin’ Oats is providing us with delicious bread, Working Cow is donating their Vanilla ice cream for dessert. Coffee will be provided by Java Planet and herbal tea from HerbalWise. Global Organics has donated juice. Premier Beverage is bringing organic wine from Eco Balance. St Somewhere Brewery will join us again with their fabulous hand-crafted beers. And we’ll look forward to all the delicious creations our guests bring for the potluck!
There will be relaxing conversation outdoors, a great band (The Barnstorm Quartet) starting at 6:00, dancing and hoola-hooping (the kids love it!), and Raffle drawings at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 for awesome prizes! Pay at the door $10 adults, $5 children.
We still need volunteers to help with this event. This is a GREAT way to get your volunteer hours in. Get into the event for free, have fun, and get some of your hours out of the way before season even begins! Contact our volunteer coordinator, Trisha, and she’ll get you signed up right away!!
Thanks to all the folks who came out to our CSA Member Orientation. If you weren’t able to make it, no worries, we will have a help table set up for the first few pickups.
